About Bill Frater

I edit and manage the Freight Train Boogie website.  I created it to spread the word about Americana and Roots music. I do it in my spare time because I love it.  It’s been losing money for over 12 years now and that makes me proud!  I also do a bi-weekly radio show on KRCB-FM (91.1 or 90.9) in Sonoma County, CA. that is also called the Freight Train Boogie. The show airs on Thursday nights from 8 to 10 PM pacific time.  And since the first of 2009, I have been doing weekly music podcasts. The Freight Train Boogie podcast playlists are at FTBpodcasts.com.

  1. Hey Bill! My friend, roots guitarist Anthony Paule, alerted me to your excellent show when we were coming home from a Sonoma gig recently. I’m so honored that you included me in your picks for Saturday’s HSB!

If you’re, come on over and say hi. And thank you collectively, from the many working musician hearts and souls, that like you, are helplessly devoted to keeping it real and live.
